SEMBRAMOS LAS SEMILLAS DE LA REVOLUCION (WE SOW THE SEEDS OF THE REVOLUTION). A striking, original, hand-signed screen-printed poster designed in 2008 to salute the Zapatista Army of National Liberation ("the Zapatistas"), a militant socialist organization that has fought the Mexican government to win greater autonomy (and rights) for the Mayan indigenous peoples of CHIAPAS in southern Mexico. This poster was designed in 2008 by the talented New York City graphic arts designer KEVIN CAPLICKI (born 1978) whose work has been exhibited widely. CAPLICKI says created the design for this poster while traveling in Mexico during the Zapatistas' 2006.(The Other Campaign), when their rebel army -- led by their masked leader. Traveled across Mexico to promote their cause. This hard-to-find poster, which measures 19 by 25 inches (48 x 63 cm), was made to salute the Zapatistas, but its title WE SOW THE SEEDS OF THE REVOLUTION has a universal message that could easily be adapted to any social or political movement. Overall condition of this original poster is good with only small imperfections possible.
